Our four legged friends are allowed on guided visits only if kept on a lead.<\/p>\n In order to fully enjoy your visit, we recommend that you wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”40″][toggles style=”minimal_small”][toggle color=”Accent-Color” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Visitors with disabilities”][vc_column_text]The Ch\u00e2teau de Joux sits on a rocky buttress, making access difficult for poeple of reduced mobility, wheelchair users and pushchairs.<\/p>\n Visually impaired visitors will also find access difficult, due to various obstacles (steps, unannounced changes of height) and highly contrasted light levels.<\/p>\n This situation is a particular focus of the renovation works of the chateau that will be ongoing until 2030. One of the first stages of work will make most of the site accessible thanks to specific installations and a digital guide.<\/p>\n These works will be carried out to achieve no more than the conformity requirements of the Historical Monuments body in order to maintain as far as possible the integrity of the site and its buildings.[\/vc_column_text][\/toggle][toggle color=”Accent-Color” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Vertigo and claustrophobia warning”][vc_column_text]We would like to inform visitors suffering from vertigo and\/or claustrophobia that the guided visit includes a vast spiral staircase about thirty metres high and various narrow underground passages.[\/vc_column_text][\/toggle][toggle color=”Accent-Color” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Parking and toilet facilities”][vc_column_text]The chateau has a lower car park and an upper car park, recommended for people with reduced mobility.<\/strong><\/p>\n Public toilets are available near the lower car park. There are no toilet facilities within the site itself.<\/p>\n
